Student and In-Training License

Part Time | Days and Evenings | Self Scheduling | Monday-Thursday 9am-8pm | Friday 9am-5pm | No weekends or major holidays

Pausing internships for winter 2025, spring 2026, and summer 2026 quarters.

Requirements:

Provide outpatient behavioral and mental health therapy and counseling services.

  • Answer phones and schedule clients
  • Conduct client intakes and assessments
  • Establish therapy treatment goals and plans
  • Administer individual, couple, family, and/or group therapy/counseling
  • Maintain thorough and confidential records
  • Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions
  • Provide client with information on beneficial community resources
  • Implement a collaborate care model to work as a team with client(s), their physicians, and other community persons under authorization to ensure successful outcomes
  • Collect insurance information and input services rendered via insurance within their respective provider portals

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following:
    • Marriage & Family Therapist Intern with a training license credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
    • Licensed Professional Counselor training license credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
    • Marriage & Family Therapist Practicum/Internship Student from a COAMFTE accredited institution.
    • Professional Counselor Practicum/Internship Student from a CACREP accredited institution.

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Master’s Degree in Counseling
  • In a COAMFTE/CACREP accredited institution for MFT or LPC in the practicum and/or internship phase of the program
