I am always open to new ideas for groups and community involvement is important. If you have an idea you wish to discuss, feel free to contact me.

Several questions have arisen in relation to this group that I would like to address. This group is a therapeutic skill building group not a support group. While you will not be discouraged from sharing your personal experiences of traumatic events, the focus is on teaching you multiple techniques to reduce and eliminate PTSD symptomology. We discuss which ones are more effective under which situation. For example, you may find one of the breathing techniques to work really well when overcoming a panic attack, but it may not be as effective after waking up out of a nightmare; a different approach may be required for handling that nightmare.
A new idea was suggested to me and I am considering it based on interest. The idea was to have a social skills building group for children, teens, and/or young adults using Dungeon’s and Dragons. If you are interested or know someone who might be, please feel free to contact me.
